Another day and another player has been placed on waivers for purposes of contract termination. Today the Arizona Coyotes have placed forward Lukas Klok on unconditional waivers. Klok inked a one-year, entry-level contract in the summer but failed to make the Coyotes out of training camp and was pointless in four games with AHL Tucson Roadrunners. He had five goals and 26 points with Niznekamsk Neftekhimik of the KHL last season and will head back to Europe should he clear waivers.

The Minnesota Wild have placed the defenseman Dakota Mermis on waivers for the purpose of reassignment to the AHL.

Mermis played two games for the Wild during the 2021-2022 season, going pointless while averaging 13:54 in ice time. With the Iowa Wild (Minnesota's AHL franchise) Mermis played 59 games, scoring 3 goals and 24 points.
