William Nylander has officially signed one of the biggest deals in NHL history with the Toronto Maple Leafs
Reports have swirled for days that the Toronto Maple Leafs are nearing a deal with William Nylander. The deal is reportedly going to make Nylander one of the highest paid players in NHL History. Today it was announced that those two parties have finally reached terms on that deal.
The Maple Leafs shared the following details and it's official that number 88 is a Maple Leaf for another 8 years.

Nylander has played his entire career with the Maple Leafs since being drafted 8th overall in 2014. In 558 career games Nylander has 198 goals and 286 assists. This season has been Nylander's most productive season. In just 37 games Nylander has 21 goals and 33 points for 54 points.
It will be interesting to see if Nylander can keep his play at this level, but if not the Leafs are going to be in a very difficult spot salary wise going forward.
