Connor Bedard's teammate comes to his defense in a very painful way with a dangerous spear
If there is one thing the Chicago Blackhawks want the rest of the NHL to know, it is that Connor Bedard is off limits. The Blackhawks want teams to know that if anyone touches Bedard, there will be hell to pay. Tonight that was once again on full display.
With Bedard against the half wall, Sharks defender Calen Addison took an opportunity to get in an extra shot. As Addison sits atop of Bedard, Hawks teammate Tyler Johnson came to his teammates defense. Instead of coming in fists flying, Johnson came in with a stick placed in a very sensitive place.

On the play both Addison and Johnson received two minutes for roughing. The Blackhawks would go onto win the game 5-2. This game moves the Blackhawks 4 points up on the Sharks for last place in the NHL standings.
