The Fanatics era is officially upon us in the National Hockey League with home uniforms for all teams (except Anaheim and Los Angeles) being revealed on Wednesday morning.

For fans worried about Fanatics' take over of the NHL uniforms starting this fall, it's completely understandable given the company's track record with merchandise over the last seven years.

However, with this being Fanatics' first major sports uniform deal and facing heavy criticism for the MLB jerseys earlier this year, despite it being Nike's fault, the company wants to ensure that these NHL jerseys are top notch and it looks like they've done a great job. But we'll have to wait and see what they look like in person before officially judging Fanatics' first year of NHL jerseys.

Based on the images in the posts below, there isn't much change from the Adidas era and the uniforms for 30 of the 32 teams unveiled by Fanatics on Wednesday morning look the same. The only major change that's noticeable is the removal of the shoulder dimples which now gives us a more sleek look to the uniforms. And of course, Fanatics' logo replaces Adidas' on the back of the uniform near the collar.

Here is an example of one uniform from each division (credit: Fanatics & Uni Watch):

The first time fans will have an opportunity to see these uniforms in person will be this weekend's 2024 NHL Entry Draft. As for purchasing, Fanatics has three tiers of jerseys to buy - Authentic on-ice game jersey ($425), the "Premium" jersey ($230), and the "Breakaway" ($175). The Authentic on-ice jerseys were never available for purchase during the Adidas era so that is a bonus for hockey fans, while the premium and breakaway options carry over from the previous regime. If you bought one of the good-quality Adidas jerseys, those are now called 'Premium' under Fanatics, while 'Breakaway' is the same as before. A date for the uniforms being on-sale has yet to be announced, but it should come at some point over the summer or around training camp in September.
