Former OHLer & wife victims of heinous crime in Ontario over the weekend
A former OHLer and his wife were the victims of a heinous crime in Ontario over the weekend.
We have some sad news to pass along as former Oshawa Generals forward Pat Montgomery and his wife Andrieana were the victims of a homicide on Saturday, Durham Regional Police shared in a post on social media.
Police say that the accused has been found and arrested, being identified as 30-year-old Mark Gordon. Durham Regional Police have charged Gordon with two counts of first-degree murder and is currently being held for a bail hearing. They also mentioned that Gordon was known to both Pat and Andrieana Montgomery, but the motive is not known at this time and the incident is not domestic related.
The accused has been identified as 30-year-old Mark Gordon.
Mark Gordon, age 30 of Oshawa has been charged with First Degree Murder x2.
He has been held for a Bail Hearing.

The news was also shared in a post by TSN baseball reporter Scott Mitchell, who knew Pat and Andrieana since Grade 9, calling the former an absolute gem and legend with the OHL's Oshawa Generals.

My friends and I are still trying to wrap our minds around this senseless tragedy but I wanna say this: Pat Montgomery was an absolute gem and an @Oshawa_Generals legend.

Montgomery spent three seasons in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals where he had 38 points in 175 games before moving on to play university hockey in Canada with Brock University. From there, he went on to play semi-professional/senior hockey in Ontario with the Brantford Blast, Whitby Dunlops and Norwood Vipers.
