Hockey mourns the passing of former Washington Capital
The hockey community is in mourning today with the news that former National Hockey League player Dave Forbes has passed away at the age of 76.
Making his debut with the Boston Bruins during the 19731974 season, Forbes scored 128 points across 362 regular-season games, four with the Bruins and a season plus two games with the Washington Capitals.
After retiring from hockey, Forbes spent his time devoting himself to his family, his second career in financial advising, and his work within his church.
Those of us here at Blade of Steel offer our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Forbes, as well as those he impacted on the ice, through his involvement with his church and those he helped through his knowledge as a financial advisor.
