An insider has revealed just how serious Vancouver Canucks star Brock Boeser's blood clotting issues are and how long he'll be out. This comes after it was revealed Boeser would not be in the lineup for game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers tonight. This opens up a huge hole in the Canucks lineup, one that cannot be filled.

According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, Boeser's season is over after team doctors found the clotting issue in his leg; take a look.

Sounds like #Canucks Brock Boeser's blood clot developed in his leg, something team medical staff found after Game 6.

He has been placed on blood thinning medication and is not expected to be available to play again this season.

Brutal break for #Canucks' leading goal scorer.

The issue was found by the Canuck's' medical staff after game 6 and Boeser has been given the direction to take blood thinners as well in an effort to combat the clot.

Boeser's season is likely over as he is not expected to be able to return to the lineup for the rest of the playoffs, should the Canycks end up advancing tonight.

Boeser, 27, played in 81 games for the Canucks during the regular collecting 40 goals and adding 33 assists for 73 total points. In the playoffs Boeser played in 12 games and collecting points in every game he's played.

This is a huge loss for the Canucks, one that will not be easy to overcome.
