Jacob Trouba claims his latest victim with another huge bodycheck
Despite being known as the biggest hitter in the NHL, players continue to put themselves ina vulnerable position when Jacob Trouba is on the ice. Trouba never turns down an opportunity to deliver a huge hit and tonight against the Calgary Flames was no different. Unfortunately tonight's victim was Flames' rookie Jakob Pelletier.
In the first period of tonight's game, Pelletier found himself in a tough position in front of the Flames bench. As Trouba closed the gap he delivered a large hit that sent Pelletier to the ice.
Flames forward Jakob Pelletier has gone to the dressing room after receiving this hit from Jacob Trouba.
The hit sent Pelletier hard to the ice and upon rising to his feet he immediately headed to the dressing room. Earlier this year Pelletier suffered a shoulder injury and this collision could be related to that. In just 3 games this season Pelletier has just 1 assist.
Pelletier has yet to return to the game at this time and is being evaluated by team personnel.
