Major update on Evander Kane's status for Game 6 against Florida Panthers
Ahead of Game 6, Evander Kane was absent from Edmonton Oilers line rushes as they prepare for their game against the Florida Panthers.
Tomorrow night the Edmonton Oilers are scheduled to face off against the Florida Panthers in game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals. After falling behind three games to none, the Oilers have fought back valiantly winning two games in a row. With a series shifting back to Alberta the Oilers face, another must win scenario.
Over the course of the playoffs, the Oilers have battled through multiple injuries including Evander Kane. Trying to gut out an abdominal injury. Unfortunately, for Kane, that became too much recently and is forced him to miss the last two games. Ahead of tomorrow's game the Oilers practice in Edmonton today and notably absent from line rushes was Kane.
Looking at line rushes today and it looks like Evander Kane won't play tomorrow. @EdmontonOilers
At points during the playoffs, Kane was unable to even sit on the Oilers bench due to the pain he was in. At this point it is better that he does not participate if he's not able to provide the physical play and scoring touch that he is known for. Game 6 goes tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
