The National Hockey League's Amazon Prime docuseries to be released worldwide next week.
'FACEOFF: Inside the NHL', is set to give fans behind the scenes access to some of their favourite stars in the National Hockey League and it won't be long until the docuseries is released globally.
On Monday, Amazon and the National Hockey League announced that the series will launch on Prime Video on October 4th, the same day the 2024-25 season gets underway with the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils facing each other in Prague, Czechia.
"NHL fans will get an unprecedented look at the NHL's biggest teams and stars when "FACEOFF: Inside the NHL," launches globally on Prime Video on Oct. 4.
The six-part docuseries produced by Box To Box and NHL Productions, will show the League's most compelling characters, all at different stages of their careers." The NHL said in a press release. The six-part series will begin with featuring David Pastrnak and William Nylander as they go through the intense Original Six rivalry of the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs.
"This generation of NHL superstars are modern day gladiators unlike anything ever seen before, with big personalities and even bigger play makers, and we have the perfect partners to capture that energy for an unparalleled sports docuseries," said Shaun Alperin, head of content, Prime Video, Canada back in June. "Working with Box To Box Films and NHL Productions we cannot wait to bring to the screen the passion, the intensity, and the sheer excitement of the road to the Stanley Cup final, revealing what fans have only speculated goes on behind the scenes of the world's fastest team sport." Other players that are set to be featured throughout the docuseries starting next week include Jeremy Swayman, Gabriel Landeskog, Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Zach Hyman, Matthew Tkachuk, Filip Forsberg, Jacob Trouba, Quinn Hughes and Jack Eichel.
