The Vancouver Canucks will be without one of their top 4 defenders in Carson Soucy for Game 4 on Tuesday night after the NHL Department of Player Safety announced a suspension.

Earlier today the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced a hearing for Carson Soucy after his cross-check on Connor McDavid.

"Sounds like there will be a hearing for Carson Soucy out of the end-of-game scrum in Edmonton last night" Friedman said.

The incident occurred after the final horn at the conclusion of the game. The cross check occured after McDavid delivered a slash to Soucy.

At the time of the incident, Nikita Zadorov delivered his own cross-checked McDavid in the back. Zadorov was fined $5,000 for his actions.

The league announced the following:

Vancouver's Carson Soucy has been suspended for one playoff game for cross-checking Edmonton's Connor McDavid.

This suspension will leave the Canucks short handed and may provides the Oilers a chance to get back into the series. Game 4 goes tomorrow in Edmonton.
