NHL Insider reveals if Phil Kessel will sign by 3 pm deadline
If you have been wondering about the status of Phil «The Thrill» Kessel concerning a return to the National Hockey League, news has been leaked that you do not want to miss.
According to Insider Chris Johnson, it is expected that Kessel will sign a contract with the Vancouver Canucks tomorrow before the 3 pm trade deadline, as it would be the only way he becomes eligible for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Kessel, 36, who is the all-time leader in consecutive games played and has three Stanley Cups to his credit, would offer the Canucks some veteran leadership along with the fact that he is still a serviceable Right Winger if placed in the right situation.
What is not known is when Kessel will see the ice with his new teammates, but as reported previously, he was spotted earlier this season skating with the Canucks American Hockey League affiliate in Abbotsford anticipating this moment.
