Ryan Suter is officially off the market after being bought out by the Dallas Stars to end last season, he's signed a contract for next year.
I think it's fair to say that many people thought that Ryan Sutter's career would be over after he was bought out by the Dallas Stars right before free agency but it turns out that's not the case.
According to reporter on X, the veteran Suter has signed a one year deal with the St Louis Blues for next season
#StlBlues sign Ryan Suter: 1 x $775K with up to $2.225M in additional performance bonuses
Suter's deal is worth 775K but with performance bonuses, he can earn up to 2.225 million dollars in performance bonuses based on a number of factors.
Suter, 39, played in all 82 games for the Dallas Stars last season collecting a total of two goals and 15 assists for a total of 17 points. He's been known as a stay at home defenceman for most of his career and is now being paid by three separate NHL teams, whether it be buyouts or signed contracts.
Suter adds veteran presence on the Blues back end while going to a team where he will surely have playing time.
