Insider reveals who won draft lottery
The National Hockey League's draft lottery is coming that gives the most hope to those teams that have the least amount of hope, a glimmer depending on draft order. Whichever team gets the number 1 pick is hoping to turn the fortunes of their franchise around, push for a playoff spot sooner rather than later, so who will be the number 1 pick this year? You're about to find out.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet the San Jose Sharks have won the draft lottery and will likely pick the consensus first overall pick Macklin Celebrini; take a look.
San Jose wins the draft lottery...Chicago second and Anaheim third
Adding a player like Celebrini who is still just 17 is a great way to jump start being a competitive team again. Celebrini doesn't turn 18 until June 13th of this year and had collected 32 goals and added 32 assists for a total of 64 points this past season in just 38 games played for Boston University.
Does this move the needle for the Sharks? I don't think so.
