We have incredibly sad news to report today involving a member of our greater hockey community. We regret to inform you of the passing of former Manitoba Moose video coach Richard Bue at the tender age of 44.

Bue began his career during his time with the Carleton Ravens as an assistant equipment manager in 2006–07 before moving into the coaching staff in 2012–2013. He would be hired by the Manitoba Moose in 2016, but even after departing the Ravens community, his presence would remain a staple even through his absence.

By all accounts, Bue was one of the good people in hockey. While everyone involved in the game constantly preaches that there are no bad apples within the game, all those who were touched by Bue had nothing but good things to say about him.
Richard is survived by his parents, Antonio and Maria Alice, as well as his sister Sandra. Those of us here at Blade of Steel wish to offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends, as well as those whom he touched during his time at Carleton, the Winnipeg Jets, and the Manitoba Moose.
