Officials miss blatant and dangerous cross-check by Chandler Stephenson
During the second period of opening game of the Stanley Cup Final between Florida and Vegas, officials missed a blatant and dangerous cross-check from Chandler Stephenson on Nick Cousins.
Cousins had the puck in the Vegas zone when Stephenson comes in and cross-checks him right in the numbers and into the board. Golden Knights defenceman Nic Hague also came in to try and hit Cousins at the same time but it looks like he only made very minimal contact. No penalty was called on the play.
Cousins was okay but got up slowly and went straight to the officials and asked, 'are you fucking blind?'.
It appears that we're in for a long, fierce series between two teams that are both seeking their first Stanley Cup in their respective franchise histories.
