Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks make trade for a former highly ranked prospect
The San Jose Sharks won their first game of the season last night. After a terrible start to the year, General Manager Mike Grier called out his entire team. According to Grier his team had taken on some unacceptable behaviors that he wasn't willing to tolerate.
Less than 24 hours after winning their first game of the year, Grier has made a move to add former 2nd round pick Calen Addison.
As @KevinWeekes first reported, Calen Addison is indeed being traded to the #sjsharks . #mnwild will receive a fifth-round pick in 2026, I'm told.
Addison was drafted 53rd overall in the 2018 Draft by the Minnesota Wild. Addison has struggled to begin this season and has been passed over by multiple teammates on the depth chart. This move gives San Jose another player to help try and turn things around, as they look to fight their way out of the league's basement.
