Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators make late summer trade
Since the NHL Draft and the beginning of free agency things have slowed down. Unlike other years it appeared teams were looking to get their business done sooner than later. With so many teams up tight against the salary cap this isn't surprising.
Tonight the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators came together in a minor move. According to Cap Friendly the Montreal Canadiens have officially acquired Jakov Novak from the Ottawa Senators. In exchange the Senators receive the coveted Future Considerations.
Jakov Novak was drafted by the Senators in 2018. Novak was a 7th round pick selected 188th overall. Novak played for Northeastern University of the NCAA and Allan Americans of the ECHL last season. In 14 games for Allan, Novak scored seven goals and added five assists.
