Philadelphia Flyers General Manager admits the team develop an app to help them make trades
During a Town Hall season ticket holder meeting, Philadelphia Flyers' President and General manager Chuck Fletcher sat down and explained to the crowd their tactics to manage this year's NHL trade deadline day.
The crowd was shocked as Fletcher explained that his analytics team developed an app that would determine whether a trade proposal was fair or not fair.
Fletcher started working in a NHL front office in 1993 with the Florida Panthers, as an assistant general manager being mentored by the team's GM at the time Bob Clarke. With 30 years experience, it is shocking to hear him say he relies on a trade app to make decisions.
If the Flyers ever want to get out of the mediocrity they find themselves in, new leadership would be the first step.
