It's that time of year and with rumours swirling about almost every player thst isn't on a long term contract, we knew something like this was about to happen. Contending teams want to add depth and they'll offer quite a bit to get it done if need be.
The Seattle Kraken's Alex Wennberg has been traded to the New York Rangers; take a look.
Wennberg, 29, has skated in 60 games for the Kraken this year, putting up a total of 25 points including 9 goals and 16 assists.
The Rangers/Avalanche got a good depth centre who has decent offensive pop that can be used effectively in a bottom 6 role on a contending team. New York/Colorado didn't give up a lot/might've given up too much to acquire the depth they needed, but that seems to be a common theme over the last few years
