The Columbus Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues have come together to complete a trade involving former second round pick Alexandre Texier.

"The #stlblues have acquired Alexandre Texier from #CBJ for a mid-round draft pick and, per @PuckPedia, signed him to a two-year extension carrying a $2.1M AAV." Johnston said.
Texier, 24, struggled at times with the Blue Jackets but returned to the NHL last season after a one-year stint in Europe and set new career highs in goals, assists and points. In 78 games, the Saint-Martin-d'Heres, France native had 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists), 38 penalty minutes and was a minus-five.
More to come.
