Colorado Avalanche trade 29-year-old forward to the Eastern Conference

The New Jersey Devils and Colorado Avalanche have come together to complete a trade on Friday evening.

In a post on social media, the New Jersey Devils announced that they've acquired 29-year-old forward Kurtis MacDermid from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round pick and Russian prospect Zakhar Bardakov.

We have acquired F Kurtis MacDermid via trade with the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and forward Zakhar Bardakov. "

MacDermid, a native of Sauble Beach, Ontario, has appeared in 29 games this season for the Colorado Avalanche where he's put up two goals, 23 penalty minutes and is a plus-three. He won the Stanley Cup in 2022 as a member of the Avalanche.

Bardakov, 23, was a seventh-round pick of the Devils in 2021. This season, he appeared in 51 games for the KHL's SKA St. Petersburg where he put up 12 points (six goals, six assists), 24 penalty minutes and was a minus-three.
