One week after the National Hockey League's trade deadline, a pair of Canadian teams have come together to complete a minor deal to benefit their respective AHL affiliates.

In a post on X on Friday, the Winnipeg Jets announced that they've dealt 24-year-old centerman Wyatt Bongiovanni to the Ottawa Senators for future considerations.

"The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have traded forward Wyatt Bongiovanni to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for future considerations." The Jets said.

Bongiovanni, a native of Birmingham, Michigan, was signed as a college free agent by the Winnipeg Jets in the spring of 2022 after four years at Quinnipiac University. In 34 games this season for the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose, Bongiovanni has 15 points (eight goals, seven assists), 26 penalty minutes and is a minus-12.

The American Hockey League's trade deadline is set for today, March 15th, at 3 p.m. ET as the affiliates of NHL clubs look to bolster their rosters for a run towards the Calder Cup. In this instance, Wyatt Bongiovanni will be joining the Belleville Senators, who sit one point back of the Rochester Americans for third place in the AHL's North Division.
