It's never fun watching your star player gets injured, especially before the season even begins. Fans are the Buffalo Sabres are understandably worried after defenseman Rasmus Dahlin left a scrimmage today. More worrying is that he dropped his gloves and started clutching his hand before skating off the ice.
It's not exactly clear whether Dahlin was hit in the hand with a stick or a puck. But this is a sight that Sabres fans don't want to see.
Update
However, he told reporters after the scrimmage ended that he was fine.
Sabres fans will be hoping hard that he's being completely truthful. Buffalo has insisted they want to compete for a playoff spot this year, and Dahlin's skill and talent will be needed to accomplish that.
