The hockey world has been mourning the loss of Adam Johnson. Hockey fans have been divided on whether or not Johnson's injuries were the result of an accident and this surely won't help that case.
When the TNT Panel decided to discuss the issue around whether or not to wear neck guards, Wayne Gretzky called Johnson's death a so-called' accident; take a look.
Whether or not this was a sign of the Great One trying to be impartial while discussing the incident remains to be seen, but in any case, whatever way you see it, the use of the air quotes and the verbiage isn't good.
For someone like Wayne Gretzky to imply that this in fact wasn't an accident is a very dangerous thing. Especially, when the players on the ice at the time have called this a freak accident.
