Less than two days after dealing away a young defenceman in Jamie Drysdale to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Anaheim Ducks have picked up a blueliner off the waiver wire.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Anaheim Ducks have claimed 25-year-old defenceman Gustav Lindstrom off waivers from the Montreal Canadiens.
Lindstrom, a native of Ostervala, Sweden, had four points (three goals, one assist), six penalty minutes and has an even-rating in 14 games with the Montreal Canadiens.
In other related news, the Colorado Avalanche have placed 32-year-old forward Chris Wagner on waivers.
Wagner was signed by the Colorado Avalanche on July 1st, but suffered a ruptured Achilles prior to the start of training camp and has yet to play this season. He's been practicing recently with the AHL's Colorado Eagles in order to get back up to game speed and will likely appear in a few games for them before being brought up to the Avalanche.
