Arizona Coyotes goalie calls out his own team for lying about their own attendance
The Arizona Coyotes played last season in Mullet Arena. The team and the NHL considered it a resounding success as every game was reportedly sold out. According to one player the organization and NHL may have embellished on those numbers.
Today goaltender Karel Vejmelka spoke about last season and he didn't hold back. According to Vejmelka attendance wasn't quite what the league and team had reported.
I don't think a single game was sold out this year. The pricing is stupid, $160 bucks for the cheapest ticket in a uni arena. Plus we also haven't played well so there's that.
There have been multiple reports that Vejmelka could be looking for a change of scenery for next season and this definitely won't make the team too happy.
