New Boston Bruins uniforms leak online before official unveiling and fans are torn
An hour before they were set for an official unveiling, the three new uniforms the Boston Bruins will be wearing for their centennial season leaked online.
Icethetics, a well-known hockey uniform reporter, shared the images of the Bruins' home, away and alternate jerseys, which were leaked on the Adidas website this afternoon.
The new home and away jerseys are pretty plain, to say the least, and incorporate a sparkling-gold effect in place of the normal yellow. The base colour of the home uniform is black, while the away is white, with both jerseys featuring gold, black and white stripes on the the sleeves and bottom of the sweater.
As for the Bruins' alternate jersey, it is heavily throwback-inspired, as was expected by many. It's hard to tell in the images that have leaked online, but the main colour of the uniform is expected to be cream/off-white, with yellow and brown striping. The logo on the front of the jersey is a spoked-B with yellow and brown, with the year, 1924, inside of it, which is the year the Bruins were founded. Boston's alternate jersey is expected to be worn in matchups against Original Six teams throughout the 2023-24 season.
After the 2023-24 season, the Bruins will be returning to their normal home and away uniforms.
