Boston Bruins Swayman guarantees a 7-game victory
The Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins both have history in game sevens and, conversely, have history with 3-1 series leads and how they can be wiped out in the blink of an eye.
With game seven happening Saturday evening and the memories that are trying to be wiped away due to last year's dismissal loss to the Florida Panthers, Jeremy Swayman, who by all accounts has a quiet swagger about him, and the confidence only matched by teammate and captain Brad Marchand have all but guaranteed a game seven victory for the Boston Bruins. While the series has been a tight contest, truth be told, it could be anyone's game.
that's what is going to make it feel so special when we do beat these guys next game.
Swayman, who at one point believed he was going to become a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs during his draft year, has been the best goaltender during these playoffs, but feels he still has an awful lot to prove, especially against these Leafs, who passed him over to select Ian Scott one pick ahead of him.
What matters to Swayman in 2024, and particularly on Saturday evening, are his teammates. Making sure he goes out there and does his best and tries his all to help the Bruins erase the problems of the recent past and propel them into round two.
