The Boston Bruins haven't been at their best this season, and with a very bleak future on the roster, their CEO has now commented on potential high up changes involving two key members of the organization.
There have been question marks raised about the Boston Bruins future this season, and with Don Sweeney making some questionable decisions on a roster that doesn't have a very bright future, things could be getting ugly in Boston.
The team have already moved on from Jim Montgomery in favour of Joe Sacco this season, and now, it appears that some fans are looking for a change at the top of the organization with the duo of Cam Neely and Don Sweeney struggling for any type of success.
Those questions have seemingly now gotten to CEO Charlie Jacobs, who reiterated his support of the two during a recent interview, stating that he has total faith in the pairing.
"I have faith that they'll make the right decisions. I don't have the playbook for that. I have faith that they will make those decisions."
If the team struggle to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the organization may be singing a different tune however, as this is a team that's been one of the most consistent regular season teams in the NHL, and with Brad Marchand's pending free agency on top of that, some big changes could be on the way.
Ultimately, the Bruins aren't used to failing, as they've not missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2015/16, with just two seasons of missed post-season action in the past 15 years, so while they may currently have confidence in the duo right now, if they can't make a splash at the deadline and change things up, their hand may be forced.
