Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery was not happy with his team at practice on Monday morning.
According to Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe, Jim Montgomery could be heard yelling "Wake the f-- up!" at his players after being unhappy with their performance in a previous drill.
The Boston Bruins haven't been playing very well in their last couple of games, losing 5-2 to the New York Rangers and 3-2 to the Philadelphia Flyers, both of whom occupy playoff spots in the Metropolitan Division.
With the Bruins set to embark on a five-game road trip against the Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, Nashville Predators and Carolina Hurricanes, Montgomery wants to spark his team before they leave and wants to see that fight they've shown all season long. It'll be a tough road trip however, with all five teams currently in playoff positions as of Monday morning.
While it's still unclear when, during their five-game road trip, the Boston Bruins will have an opportunity to clinch a berth in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, in what would be their eighth consecutive appearance in the big dance.
Boston will kick off their road trip on Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers, a rematch of their first round meeting in the 2023 playoffs last spring.
Update - Montgomery wasn't done there, ripping his team after practice as well.
