Insider reveals 5 teams that are interested in trading for Elias Lindholm
A Calgary Flames forward is reportedly drawing interest from at least five teams.
The Calgary Flames currently sit on the outside of the playoff picture in the Western Conference, but still have hope of returning to the post-season for the first time since 2022.
However, the Flames have a handful of key pending unrestricted free agents that they could sell off leading up to the NHL's trade deadline on March 8th and put their focus into next season and building around a core of Jonathan Huberdeau, Rasmus Andersson, MacKenzie Weegar, among others.
One of those pending unrestricted free agents that's already beginning to draw interest is forward Elias Lindholm, who if he's not traded, likely won't be returning to Calgary next season.
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, at least five teams have shown interest in Elias Lindholm - the Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche, Washington Capitals and Winnipeg Jets.
"Unless Lindholm changes his contract demands or the Flames decide to accept a $9M+ AAV on a long-term deal, an extension is unlikely and Calgary GM Craig Conroy will try to maximize a return for the top forward in the trade market.

Lindholm, 28, is having a bit of a slow season on the scoring front. After scoring 20 goals in four of the last five seasons, Lindholm has only eight goals in 46 games this season, along with 22 assists, 21 penalty minutes and is a minus-nine.
