In the off-season, the Calgary Flames made a lot of moves that were seemingly going to put them over the top. Fans and media alike dubbed it the off-season of Brad Treliving, but quickly that turned out not to be the case.

Now, once prized acquisition Jonathan Huberdeau sets a rather painful NHL record take a look:

A record-setting season for Jonathan Huberdeau 🔥

From 115 points last season, to 55 this season, the 60 point season-to-season drop off is the largest in NHL history. (Min. 50 GP)

This has been a rough season for Huberdeau no doubt, but I don't think anyone was expecting this kind of production or lack there of.

Hopefully next year is a little better for Huberdeau and the Flames, but if this is any indication, the contract he signed with Calgary in the summer that pays him pays him 10.5 million dollars until 2031 is only going to continue to age poorly.

I don't think anyone saw this coming when the trade happened, but with each passing day, it's looking more and more like the Florida Panthers won the trade and it's not even close.
