Former Philadelphia Flyers Forward Takes A Direct Shot At John Tortorella
Joel Farabee has been solid in his time as a Calgary Flame, and after being trusted in a big moment, he called out his former Head Coach for not doing the same.
It's no secret that John Tortorella has always been a very controversial figure in the NHL, with an anonymous players poll recently revealing that he's the coach that players in the league would least like to play for.
That seemingly hasn't changed at all, as Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee are both seemingly much happier since being traded by the Flyers to the Calgary Flames, and after being trusted in a big moment for the team's 1-0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens, Farabee took the chance to call out his former Head Coach.
The only reason the team were up 1-0 in the first place was another solid Farabee goal, who made in goals in two straight for the Flames who have now picked up points in four straight games as they find themselves back in the Wild Card spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
While he's got just three goals in 13 games played for Calgary, Farabee has improved immensely in recent times, and unlike Tortorella (according to the player), he's finally being trusted by a Head Coach again which goes a long way to a players confidence.
We may not see him get back to a 50 point player like he was in 2023/24, but he has been fantastic as of late, and if he continues to get trusted in the big moments, there's no reason why we couldn't see him have a great run in Calgary moving forward.
