This is a moment fans have of the Chicago Blackhawks had been waiting for, and they were ready to celebrate. First-overall pick Connor Bedard has his very first NHL goal on home ice.
Early in the first period in tonight's game against the Vegas Golden Knights, Taylor Hall found Bedard all alone out in front of the net with his team on the powerplay. The young phenom had all kinds of time, and made no mistake about it, beating Knights goalie Adin Hill cleanly.
Bedard's quick and accurate shot is one of his best attributes, and teams will have to try not to give him space and time to for a shot like that. Easier said than done, though. Also, credit to Hall for a perfect pass on the play.
