Delay of game is one of the worst penalties in the game of hockey, on that I think we can all agree. Often times the puck over glass is not intentional and it just stops the flow of a hockey game. Whether your team get the power play or not, it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

According to Sportsnet, Connor McDavid, the best player in the world has an idea that would see delay of game be taken out of hockey entirely; take a look.

The glass folding in at the top, keep the pucks in, like a little bit of a bowl.

This would be a smart idea to mitigate delay of game penalties and it would also keep some of the pucks from flying into the stands and potentially hurting fans.

Anything that can be done to mitigate delay of game penalties would also lessen frustration on a team side of things. Not only does every player feel bad when this play happens, it's just a terrible penalty and rule.

Would you go for something like this? I would. Anything to continue the flow of the game.
