Edmonton Oilers forward to miss the remainder of the 1st round
The Edmonton Oilers lost Game 1 of their Pacific Division series to the Los Angeles Kings. The game may not have been the only thing they lost as it sounds as though the Oilers have lost a forward for the remainder of the series.
After Game 1, Mattias Janmark was spotted with a limp in the Oilers locker room. In the 1st period of the game Janmark blocked a shot and laboured after, but remained in the game.
Now it has been confirmed that Janmark will reportedly miss the remained of this series. This leaves a hole in the Oilers lineup and could lead the Oilers to go with only 11 forwards for tonight's game.
This season is 66 games Janmark scored 10 goals and added 25 assists but was a key member of the Oilers penalty kill.
