Embarrassing footage of NHL coach surfaces online
On February 1st during All Star Weekend news leaked that former Florida Panthers Head Coach, and now New Jersey Devils assistant coach Andrew Brunette has been arrested. Brunette had been charged with DUI after allegedly operating a golf cart while intoxicated.
Now footage of Brunette's arrest has been released online.
During the footage it can be seen that police initiate the traffic stop after Brunette fails to stop at a stop sign. Upon conducting an investigation, the police deem that Brunette was under the influence of alcohol. While trying to conduct a field sobriety test, he tries to leave the test and call his lawyer.
At that time police elect to place Brunette under arrest, while one officer informs Brunette it would be a bad idea to try and fight him
After being placed in handcuffs Brunette tries to use the fact that he was once the coach of the Panthers to his advantage. Unfortunately, like most fans in Florida, the police officers weren't interested in hockey.
Brunette's lawyer claims his client was not intoxicated and they look forward to pricing his innocence.
