The Edmonton Oilers bounced out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the second round after losing to the eventual champions, the Vegas Golden Knights, in six games.

Expectations are high in Edmonton year after year, especially when you consider they have two of the best players in the world in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

Earlier this week on DFO Rundown, Frank Seravalli said that anytime anyone's even mentioned the idea of either McDavid and/or Draisaitl leaving Edmonton, he's laughed it off, going as far as saying that there's over a 90% chance they'll both be Oilers for a long time.

"I think there's a 90% some chance that both McDavid and Draisaitl are Edmonton Oilers for a long, long time" Seravalli said.

Going into the 2023-24 season, Connor McDavid has three years remaining on his deal with a cap hit of $12.5 million, while Draisaitl has two years left on his contract at $8.5 million. For the Oilers, next summer is massive, as on July 1st, Draisaitl will be eligible to sign a contract extension and with the salary cap expected to go up significantly in the years to come, there's no doubt that he'll be getting over $12 million AAV on his next deal.

BetMGM recently released an updated version of their odds to win the 2024 Stanley Cup and the Edmonton Oilers are second at +950. Only the Colorado Avalanche have better odds at +800.

It's going to be a big year in Edmonton. Do you think McDavid and Draisaitl will lead the Oilers to the Stanley Cup in 2024? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
