The Best Player In The World Undresses Three Time Stanley Cup Champion
Edmonton Oilers Connor McDavid has been back to his best after a brief blimp in play early in the season that coincided with an upper-body injury. The best player in the world has been scoring at a ridiculous rate during his seven game point streak with four goals and fourteen assists.
McDavid's Oilers are hosting the Minnesota Wild tonight. Edmonton had the lead 1-0 as the second period began. Wild winger Matt Boldy would tie things up early with his sixth of the season.
It only took McDavid thirty six seconds to get the Oilers back in front and he did it with an absolute beauty. McDavid came charging into the Wild zone avoiding Jake Middleton's stick check, Wild goalie Marc-Andre Fleury came out to challenge the Oilers' captain, McDavid shows off his hands pulling off some sneaky moves forcing Fleury way out of position before depositing the puck into the gaping net.
With the goal McDavid now has an eight point streak going. McDavid added an assist on Leon Draisaitl's 11th goal of the year to tie the game is 3-3 just before the end of the second period.
