The Edmonton Oilers already have their backs against the wall being down 3-1 in their Stanley Cup final series against the Florida Panthers but with a decisive 8-1 win in game four, the feeling around the Edmonton locker room is that they weren't down and out until they were down and out; fast forward to tonight.
While the Panthers may win the Stanley Cup this evening, it's plays such as above that are one of the litany of reasons why they have been able to get this far into the Stanley Cup playoffs and to game six especially.
While the adage likely is that the Oilers will go as far as McDavid and Draisaitl will carry them, when you're playing in the Stanley Cup final, you're only as good as the goaltender that carries you. Even if Stuart Skinner has faltered several times in the last ten days, he is a major reason why the Oilers have been able to play this far into the year.
