The Stanley Cup Playoffs had many stories last year, but off the ice, one woman came to fame after a moment in the crowd of an Edmonton Oilers game.
Last season's Stanley Cup Playoffs run was one for the ages for the Edmonton Oilers, and while they fell short, they fought as hard as they could all the way to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. While there was plenty of action on the ice, there was just as much away from it, as Oilers fans have built up a reputation of fighting off the ice for absolutely no reason, as it happened many times throughout the post-season.
One person that went viral for the exact opposite of that was a fan named Kait, who was seen on video flashing during one of the games, and unsurprisingly, went viral after that. Since the moment, the Oilers superfan has amassed over 100,000 followers across social media, as well as getting a photoshoot with Playboy in the process.
Now, after the sudden fame that she's received among Oilers fans, Kait has given an update on her life, and in a nice turn of events, she remains humble in her job and continuing her life the way it was before this all happened.
»I've never had just f**k you money. I've not been dumb with the money, I'm not out partying like a rock star or anything. I bought a pickup [with] cash.»
Although she has the newfound fame and the money from modelling shoots, it appears she remains the exact same person she was before going viral, and doesn't plan to change anytime soon. While we may not see her paraded around at Oilers games anytime in the near future, it's safe to say that she's become a huge name in Edmonton, and when the Stanley Cup Playoffs roll around again, she'll no doubt be involved in some way.
