Tickets prices have been revealed for Edmonton Oilers Cup Final games
As is the case with any big sporting event, tickets skyrocket when it gets to the most important time of the year and the 2024 Stanley Cup Final is no exception.
Tickets went on sale to the general public on Wednesday morning for Games 3 and 4 at Rogers Place in Edmonton. But before that happened, season ticket holders had a special window where they had a presale code to access them for a certain timeframe prior to the general public.
To turn a profit, knowing that Edmonton fans want to see their team's first Stanley Cup Final appearance in 18 years in person, some season ticket holders have resold their own tickets for almost triple what they paid.
In a post on X, World Hockey Report pointed out that the cheapest tickets being resold for Game 4 as of this afternoon were over $1,200 Canadian in the upper bowl at Rogers Arena, with the majority of tickets in the 200s going for over $1,500 CAD.
"These are the cheapest tickets to Game 4 in Edmonton.
What happened was season ticket holders got a presale code (cheapest was $550 ish). General public sales started at $850 and now it's all resale with people trying to put their kids through college."
There's no doubt that fans will buy these tickets, despite the massive price tag. It's an important series for the Edmonton Oilers and their fans as it's their first Stanley Cup Final since 2006 when they lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in seven games. These fans will do whatever it takes to get inside Rogers Arena for Games 3 and 4, which are set for June 13th and 15th, respectively.
