Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice is now a Stanley Cup champion, but in a post-game interview, used his time to share a classy message for one of his former teams.

While being interviewed by Sportsnet, Maurice was asked about how he felt in the moment and after sharing who he's thinking about and thanking for getting him to this point, he said that if could have one more thing in life, it would be for the Winnipeg Jets to win the Stanley Cup next season.

"If I could have one thing more it would be for the Winnipeg Jets to win the next Stanley Cup." Maurice said.

Prior to joining the Florida Panthers in 2022, Maurice spent nine seasons as the head coach of the Winnipeg Jets, leading them to five playoff appearances including a trip to the Western Conference Final in 2018. In December 2021, Maurice decided to resign as the Jets' head coach and said that they needed a new voice at the helm.

The 57-year-old has been in the National Hockey League for a very long time and is one of the most respected and greatest coaches in the history of the game. It'll be interesting to see what the future holds for Paul Maurice and if he'll be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame one day.
