Former starting goalie finds brand new home in the Western Conference
If any free agent is hoping for a chance at a comeback year, it's goaltender Cam Talbot. Things did not go the way he and the team were hoping in Ottawa. Talbot is now headed to the Western Conference.
Insider Kevin Weekes is the first to report that Talbot has signed a one-year deal with the LA Kings.
No price tag has been attached to the deal yet. Given the way things went with the Senators, my guess is Talbot is just happy to be elsewhere. After being traded to Ottawa in July of 2022 for Filip Gustavsson in an attempt for the Sens to get better between the pipes, Gustavsson ended up having a much better season with the Minnesota Wild than Talbot, Something no one saw coming.
