National Hockey League players use all kinds of things to stay alert and aware on the bench during games, but sometimes, they might they might ask for more than they can handle.
While sitting on the bench between shifts, Minnesota Wild Ryan Reaves needed a little bit of a pick me up, so he asks for smelling salts, what happens next was unexpected to say the least
Someone hands Reaves the smelling salts, after trying the he decides they aren't strong enough and turns around to request something stronger.
This time, it appears he puts the smelling salts too close to his nostrils and looks as if he's about to throw up on the bench.
Reaves has always been an embers guy, but somehow I think after the smelling salts punched him in the face, that next shift out, he must've had some extra speed in his stride.
