Josh Anderson forced to leave game as Montreal Canadiens beat Dallas Stars

The Montreal Canadiens came out victorious with a win over the Dallas Stars, But not before a key player goes down with an injury.

Last night, the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Dallas Stars 4-3. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a costly win as it appears that winger Josh Anderson may have suffered would could be a serious injury.

Anderson wasn't able to put any weight on his right leg and had to be helped back to the dressing room after he collided with Stars defenceman Thomas Hartley at the midpoint of the third period. Anderson, one of the Habs toughest players had to be assisted to the locker room my medical staff and wasn't available for comment after the game. Anderson will be re-evaluated when the club returns home from their road trip.

Anderson, 29, has scored 6 goals and 11 points in 37 games this season while averaging 16:38 in ice time. Many expected the forward to be a prime Trade Deadline target for many teams due to his size, speed and skating.

Montreal has a 16-16-5 record on the season trailing the final Wild Card spot by five points.
