Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman gave a cheap shot to the Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki in a heated game.

Last night, the Montreal Canadiens were in Boston to face the Bruins, who celebrated their 100th anniversary.

The rivalry between the Canadiens and the Bruins is nothing less than historic, often considered one of the best in sports.

In fact, the two teams faced each other more times than any other two teams did, in playoffs or the regular season, with 927 matchups.

To this day, games between them are always fun to watch, and fans got to see another great show yesterday.

The Canadiens couldn't bounce back after the Bruins scored three consecutive goals in 70 seconds during the first period and returned to Montreal with a 6-3 loss.

The intensity was high throughout the whole game. An incident involving Jeremy Swayman and Nick Suzuki highlighted it.

Suzuki was skating near Swayman's zone, and the goalie shoved him on the ice in a single motion.

Check out how it went down:

This isn't the first time the goalie has gone after Suzuki in a game.

Back in October, the goalie made a similar move in a Bruins' 6-4 win over the Habs:

It's safe to say that Swayman doesn't seem to like Suzuki at all.

Swayman, 26, has been quite struggling this season after he missed training camp due to his contract negotiation issues. After 18 games, he has a .893 SV% and a 3.09 GAA, far from what we saw in the past from him.

He always had a fiery, competitive edge, which is why analysts aren't worried he'll find his rhythm soon.

Sadly, the Bruins and the Habs won't meet on the ice until April 3rd. However, the Bruins are set to face another team full of history tomorrow: the Detroit Red Wings.
