The Nashville Predators have placed 300-game NHL veteran Vinnie Hinostroza on waivers today.

The Predators made a roster move today, demoting a veteran forward to the American Hockey League.

That forward would be none other than Vinnie Hinostroza.

Things certainly have not gone the way Predators fans were expecting this year as the team remains outside the playoff picture.

In fact, the team appears to be selling at the trade deadline with veterans like Ryan O'Reilly being involved in rumors.

That being said, a player like Hinostroza could very well find himself with a new club at some point this season as well, although he won't get much return in a trade.

Vinnie Hinostroza has been around the league throughout his 10-year career, appearing in games for six different clubs.

The Nashville Predators are obviously his most recent team, but he has bounced from club to club in each of the past few seasons.

Despite never settling into a long-term role with any one team, he has appeared in 387 career regular season games, putting up 54 goals and 153 points in the process.

This year he has just 2 assists in 13 games with the Predators.

It certainly has been a respectable career for the 30-year-old but it does seem like this could be close to the end of the line for him in the NHL.

After all, he appeared in just 14 games last season and 26 games the year before that, playing for mediocre Penguins and Sabres teams.

If he was with better clubs those years he may not have made any appearances at all.

Still, nearly 400 career games is not shabby for a former 6th round draft pick.
