Hearing this is just about done. Jonathan Marchessault will likely be a New Jersey Devil next season #SeeYouAtDjaisMarchy
The New Jersey Devils are playing no games this offseason. Sounds like Jonathan Marchessault will be joining the squad 👀
Johnathan Marchessault, 33, just completed his seventh season as a member of the Vegas Golden Knights and had a pretty successful run with the organization, which included a Stanley Cup championship in 2023. In 82 games this season, the Cap-Rouge, Quebec native had 69 points (42 goals, 27 assists), 40 penalty minutes and was a minus-two. In the Stanley Cup Playoffs, he recorded four points in seven games.
Full details on the contract have not been released as of yet, but Johnathan Marchessault is coming off a down year and if he can get back to form, this would be huge first step for New Jersey in trying to be competitive next season.
Update:
Things have reportedly fallen apart between the two parties.
